A very fine and rare 18k yellow gold self-winding wristwatch ref.2584 made in 1958.
With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production in 1958 and its subsequent sale on October 18th, 1958.
Ref.2584 was produced for a short period making it a rare model amongst self-winding Patek Philippe. In fact only less than 50 reference 2584 are known from the market so far.
This model is powered by the now iconic automatic Patek Philippe caliber 12-600, considered by the cognoscenti as being the most beautiful vintage automatic wristwatch movement ever designed. It is not only finished to the highest degree as attested by the Geneva seal but it also features a Gyromax balance and an 18k gold guilloche rotor.
Furthermore, the reference 2584 features an ingenious snap on back with raised borders fitting snugly into the case and thus increasing the water resistance.
