An extremely fine and very rare 18k yellow gold self-winding wrstwatch with date, sweep centre seconds, bracelet and black semi-glossy dial.
The reference 3800 was in production from 1981 until 2006 and available in different versions. It pays homage to the original Nautilus ref.3700 with a similar design and aesthtic except in a smaller size case and with the addition of a sweep centre seconds hand made possible by the introduction of caliber 335SC.
It is very rare for the gold ref.3800/1 with black glossy dial.
With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of this watch with semi-glossy black dial, yellow gold bassine Roman numerals tritium in 2000 and its subsequent sale on February 12th, 2001.
