ref.130
Stainless steel, Sector

An extremely fine, rare and attractive stainless steel chronograph wristwatch with two-tone silvered sector dial.
With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of this watch with silvered dial and tachometer scale in 1938 and its subsequent sale on December 12th, 1938.

Iconic and very rare, the present timepiece is a highly appealing example of Patek Philippe’s celebrated reference 130. Part of the early chronographs of the model, it features a superb two-tone silvered sector or aviator dial, together with the stainless steel case considered as being amongst the most desirable combinations for collectors. Made during a limited period of time only, these sector dials appeared on chronographs in the mid-1930s.

The captivating dial of the present ref. 130 does not show signs of cosmetic enhancement, the hard enamel signature and scales are as raised as the demanding scholar would expect. The case has not been subject to careless polishing and impresses with its full proportions.
