Early model, leaf hands

A fine and very rare early ref.96 yellow with flat indexes and leaf hands.
The dial has discolored the lacquer coating on the surface due to aging, but it is an untouched original. The case is in good condition and the hallmarks on the back of the lugs and the hallmark under the caseback remain crisp.
"FAB SUISSE" at 6 o'clock on the dial and two owl hallmarks on the dial suggest that this watch was sold in France.
With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of this watch with silver dial and applied gold hour markers in 1938 and its subsequent sale on March 24th, 1938.
