A very fine and very rare 18k yellow gold rectangle wristwatch ref.492 with breguet numerals.
With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of this watch with satin finish silvered dial and applied gold breguet numerals in 1939 and its subsequent sale on December 20th, 1939.

Ref.492 was in production from 1936 until the late 1940s.
The modern, yet typical Art Deco style case of reference 492 was designed to fit around the wrist and is also called "Railway" because of its aerodynamic look and the stepped sides.
