Yellow 1st series retailed by HAUSMANN & Co

An extreamly fine and rare 18kg yellow gold automatic perpetual calendar with phases of the moon.
This watch belongs to the first generation of ref.3448, produced between 1962 and 1965, characterized by the small size of the dates around the moonphase sector, the large size with pointed end hour index, PP crown and raised hard enamel signature and minute index.
The first generation were only about 5 examples produced annually. So Patek Philippe's technicians were able to pay the utmost attention to each piece.
Hausmann & Co., wa founded by Eenst Hausmann in late 19centuries, he was a watchmaker from Duisburg, Germany. The shop is still located in Rome at Via del Corso 406.
