Rose, Self-winding

A very fine and very rare 18k rose gold self-winding wristwatch ref.3429.
With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of this watch in 1962 and its subsequent sale on January 23rd., 1963.

The Patek Philippe reference 3429 was released in 1960 replacing the reference 3415, with the sole difference between the two being a new caliber being used, the 27-460 replacing the caliber 12-600AT. The timepiece is fitted with a waterproof 2-piece Wenger made case featuring a screw-down case back and PP crown. The dials were made by Stern Freres and featured applied gold baton indexes and engraved enamel signature. Only platinum-cased examples were made in fewer numbers than pink gold ones, and it is thought that only 100 pieces were made in pink gold and circa only 10 of those examples appearing back to the market.
